liverise.com preview | visit site LiveRise is a web startup that makes residential buildings more energy efficient. Currently in use in several hundred buildings in New York City, LiveRise translates boiler, energy and utility data into real time actionable tasks that building owners and managers can use to reduce their energy consumption. Because LiveRise's user base is technologically unsophisticated, simplicity and usability were foremost priorities in designing and building their web application platform. Built in 120 days on Ruby on Rails, and deployed using Engineyard and Amazon web services, LiveRise's web application was designed for rapid development and scalability.

disinfo.com preview | visit site As one of the most popular subculture content sites online, the Disinformation company has relied on its heavily trafficked site to drive sales of its core publishing and film library. In early 2009 we were tasked with redesigning the site / it's core architecture from scratch. Choosing a unique, fully clustered, high-availability wordpress architecture, we were involved in every aspect of the new site development and design. By focusing on usability, performance, and speed, in less than 5 months, disinfo.com has seen an astounding 100% growth in traffic and conversions.

veri.com preview | visit site Veri.com is a cutting-edge personalized news site (think of a Pandora for news and content). In order to support Veri's complex personalization algorithms, we developed new approaches to storage, caching, and clustering. We then used our fastidious eye for usability and design to push the envelope on an ajax-heavy user experience. We bring the lessons, knowledge, and (sometimes) code we developed for Veri to every project we do. The result is better, faster, more scalable products -- generally with less time and money.

wurbble.com preview | visit site Backed by an entertainment industry insider, the Wurbble team came to us with a basic idea: to build an interactive / real-time reality dating show. Combining elements of a social network and reality TV show, Wurbble required a sharply mapped out social site design, as well as a smart implementaiton of real-time video capture, storage and streaming. Using the Veri.com technology architecture, we helped Wurbble not only develop a highly usable social video platform, but one that was scalable, redundant, and aesthetically beautiful.

terabolic.com preview | visit site An e-commerce-based subscription service provider, Terabolic provides e-mail and business technology services to over 1000 customers world wide. To help execute that strategy, we oversaw the development of the original branding and design, which we then translated into multiple consumer web sites and a proprietary web application suite (including e-mail, calendaring, and contact management). To facilitate user management and sales, we also built a full e-commerce based subscription management platform that serves as the backbone of Terabolic's service offerings.
